Scott Brandenburg, formerly from Garrett sales in Seattle,
now VP with Thales USA , is looking for retired engineers who might want a
short term consulting assignment working cockpit integration tasks He provided the following summary:
There is a need for three to five seasoned cockpit flight instrumentation/avionics engineers - preferably with experience in the business aircraft, regional airliner, and/or helicopter markets. These individuals can have been on the supplier side or the customer side - it doesn’t matter to us. In fact, a mix of experiences and roles will make the best team.
The task is to function as a red team and provide
consultation to a number of Thales product lines that are preparing to bid on
new bizjet applications. The assignment
is temporary, four or five months, and requires some travel to Thales sites in
Europe. The good news is that these
individuals could also get at least a little time off occasionally to enjoy
Europe this summer if they wanted too.
Just to be clear, we are not asking any of these individuals to do the
“grunt level” proposal work. They are
senior level reviewers and counselors, not working 24/7 writing proposals. We
want to launch the effort on or about 1 April.
Having just said that the jobs are temporary, Thales is also prepared to roll a couple of the slots into full-time, US-based positions if that makes it more appealing to anyone.
